As it pertains to the bringing together of churches and communications opportunities, we have been able to turn the current situation around 180 degrees and actually bring carriers to our client churches and faith-based organizations!
We have been able to take a reactive situation and make it proactive. Up until now, the only time a carrier ever leased space in a steeple is if one of their site finders showed up at the church door, dangling the possibility of a monthly check. That scenario started a very unfamiliar process for most churches. We at SteepleCom take a decidely different approach.
Our client churches are well-armed with information and prepared to utilize their facilities. Most importantly, we have been able to aggregate many willing participants and present them to the carriers with a competent, single point of contact. The carriers have been very receptive.
We have put together an online database so that even before the carriers "release their search rings" to their site finders, they can check our database to see if they can first use one of our client churches, thus greatly reducing their costs and, as one industry executive put it, "not impact the skyline."
Once a carrier has identified a potential site, our team of seasoned negotiators works as your advocate to negotiate the best terms possible in your particular market, while minimizing exposire to risk. This step is where the phrase "the devil is in the details" is very applicable.
We have been able to come up with standardized agreements with the carriers that are germane to utilizing church properties, while at the same time honoring church processes. These template agreements greatly reduce legal, administrative, and negotiating costs. They also allow us to customize specific language so as to reflect the individual nature of each local congregation.
Collectively, we are able to do far more than if we each worked alone. Understanding the nature of scale, we have been able to form some very strategic alliances that allow us to leverage world-class talent, resources, and solutions. Our strategic partners are industry leaders that would not be able to deal with individual churches, but have agreed to help us since we are taking a collective approach to marketing a large number of steeples all at once.
